Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)

Due to the emergency COVID 19 crisis we are now only doing routine telephone appointments at this time.  Please call reception on 020 8450 5454  where you will be placed in the telephone triage system.  If you are experiencing a New continuous cough or fever please self isolate and visit the NHS 111 online for further details

If you require a repeat prescription please use the online facility by visiting patient access or by emailing greenfieldmc@nhs.net.  You may post your prescription through the door but you will need to nominate a pharmacy to collect from.  If you wish to collect your prescription from the surgery please contact reception on 0208 450 5454 and you will be given a time to collect your prescription.

Update: 16.3.2020

The Council on Hypertension of the European Society of Cardiology wish to highlight the lack of any evidence supporting harmful effect of ACE-I(Ramipril, Lisinopril, Perindopril & Enalapril) and ARB (Candesartan, Irbesartan, Losartan). in the context of the pandemic COVID - 19 outbreak.  The council of Hypertension strongly recommend that physicians and patients should continue treatment with their usual anti-hypertensive therapy because there is no clinical or scientific evidence to suggest that treatment with ACEi or ARBs should be discontinued because of the COVID-19 infection

Test Results

Patients are now able to view their results on line.  Please speak to the reception for more information or assistance if required.

  • Blood tests are usually ready in 2 working days
  • Smear tests are usually ready in 2/3 weeks
  • X-rays are usually ready in 7-10 working days

Tests and investigations arranged by the hospital

We spend a significant amount of time in contacting hospitals to chase up patients results that have been requested by consultants/specialists at the hospital.  The General Medical Council advise that it is good practice and safer for patients to be followed up with test results by the requesting doctor.  The doctors at the surgery are not always able to interpret results that are arranged within secondary care.  If you have not heard the results of tests arranged by the hospital, please contact the relevant department for further information.
